**Updated Nov. 7:** Grace Academy has secured its state berth with a 3–0 win over Clallam Bay.

Grace Academy’s volleyball season now includes a trip to state. The Marysville school swept Clallam Bay on Saturday at Mount Vernon Christian, joining Darrington in the state field.

Their paths crossed Wednesday evening at the Darrington Community Center, where the Loggers swept Grace Academy 3-0\. Earlier that afternoon, Grace had kept its season going with a 3-0 win over Crosspoint Christian.

The [official tournament bracket](https://www.wpanetwork.com/wiaa/brackets/tournament.php?act=view&tournament%5Fid=5270&ref=justabouts.com) sends six teams from Districts 1, 2 and 3 to state.

Darrington’s postseason run follows an unbeaten league campaign. The [Northwest 2B/1B league’s official standings](https://www.nw1a2bathletics.com/sport/?sport%5Fid=10&ref=justabouts.com#standings) list the Loggers at 8–0 in league play.

Ava Pater also reached a career milestone this fall. The [Darrington Volleyball Booster Club announced Oct. 28](https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story%5Ffbid=pfbid0qtXQLY5nLrFCvjfsbYnbr3wwbAfs1tN9iFsD3vynhoVQYk9HYxU2yC7nR6y5UiNPl&id=100064942566313) that she had surpassed 1,000 career assists.

## Saturday’s remaining matches

**Grace Academy faces Northwest Christian of Lacey at 3 p.m. on the South Court** in the fifth- and sixth-place match. Both teams advance to state.

Darrington’s semifinal against Neah Bay was scheduled for 1 p.m. on the South Court. The official bracket had not posted its result when this update was checked. The Loggers had already secured a state berth.

A Darrington win would put the Loggers in the championship match at 5 p.m. on the Main Court. A loss would send them to the third- and fourth-place match at 3 p.m. on the North Court. Saturday will settle their tri-district finish before the WIAA seeds the state bracket.
