Sno-Isle Libraries has published its 2026 staff favorites and opened reader polls for the year’s books, movies and television. The lists offer a place to start for your next library hold, family read or gift idea.

The [staff favorites](https://www.sno-isle.org/blogs/post/2026-staff-favorites/?ref=justabouts.com), published November 2, gather books, movies and television from the past year. There are separate lists for children and teens, plus adult selections ranging from graphic novels and LGBTQ+ reads to nonfiction, romance and science fiction. A movies-and-TV list rounds out the collection.

For families looking for something to read together, those age-specific lists offer a useful starting point. For gift shoppers, they can also help narrow a long list of possibilities. The recommendations live in the library's catalog, where readers can explore formats and availability. On the [fantasy list](https://sno-isle.bibliocommons.com/v2/list/display/700233957/3137813777?ref=justabouts.com), for example, individual entries include staff comments and links to other available formats.

Readers can also [vote in the library's year-end polls](https://www.sno-isle.org/blogs/post/vote-for-your-favorite-titles-of-2026/?ref=justabouts.com). Choose the circle beside a title, then press the “Vote now!” button for that category. There are ten polls covering eight book categories, movies and television. Each offers a short selection of titles; links beneath the polls lead to the fuller staff lists.

If your favorite is missing, a separate field near the bottom of the page lets you suggest a book or movie. The library says it will announce the winning titles November 23\. Its announcement does not specify a voting cutoff, so check the live poll page for current information.
