A recipe to try, a film for the evening or a book to settle in with: Sno-Isle Libraries' current Thanksgiving guides offer a few ways to enjoy November at home. Eligible library cardholders can borrow materials at no charge, and the library also offers online baking lessons through hoopla.

## Start with a cookbook or a story

The library's [Books to Feast On guide](https://www.sno-isle.org/blogs/post/books-to-feast-on/?ref=justabouts.com) brings together holiday cookbooks, plant-based options, Pacific Northwest and Indigenous food traditions, and fiction with a culinary connection. Browse the recommendations for a dish to share or something to read while dinner is in the oven.

Open a title's catalog record to check its format and current availability. For a physical book or DVD, [sign in and place a hold](https://www.sno-isle.org/faq/using-your-account/?ref=justabouts.com#holds) to have it sent to your preferred Sno-Isle community library. Requesting early gives you more time to work around a waiting list.

## Try a baking lesson at home

[Craftsy videos are free with a Sno-Isle card](https://www.sno-isle.org/blogs/post/get-creative-with-craftsy/?ref=justabouts.com) through hoopla. The collection includes instruction in bread baking, cake decorating and other kitchen skills, alongside crafts and sewing.

To get started, create a hoopla account using your library card number and PIN. You will also need an email address and a password for the hoopla account. Then browse [Craftsy's collection](https://www.hoopladigital.com/publisher/craftsy/10388313910/titles?ref=justabouts.com) in your browser or the hoopla app.

Sno-Isle currently allows [15 hoopla borrows per month](https://www.sno-isle.org/faq/using-your-account/?ref=justabouts.com#loans-returns). For items marked [BingePass](https://library.hoopladigital.com/resources/assets/hoopla-bingepass/?ref=justabouts.com), one borrow gives seven days of access to that collection. Check the item's access details before borrowing so the viewing window fits your plans.

## Find something for movie night

The library's [Thanksgiving film recommendations](https://www.sno-isle.org/blogs/post/thanksgiving-films-to-gobble-up/?ref=justabouts.com) link to a catalog list for browsing. Check each record for its format and availability before choosing your evening's film. A streaming title and a DVD that needs to be collected call for different plans.

## Need a library card?

[Start registration online](https://www.sno-isle.org/get-a-library-card/?ref=justabouts.com) or visit a Sno-Isle library. Online signup provides 30 days of limited digital access. Complete registration through the link the library emails you, or with staff at a branch, for physical borrowing and full digital access.

Check the [eligibility requirements](https://www.sno-isle.org/faq/library-card/?ref=justabouts.com) before applying. If a login, PIN or catalog question gets in the way, library staff can help you find the next step.
