Snohomish County residents have a chance to explain what is getting harder in daily life and which local services would make the greatest difference.

The county’s Community Needs Assessment survey is open through **Jan. 4, 2027**. It takes about 10 minutes, according to LISC Puget Sound, the nonprofit working with county Human Services on the assessment.

The invitation is countywide, with particular attention to people with lower incomes and households struggling to make ends meet. Residents of Marysville, Arlington, Lake Stevens, Stanwood, Granite Falls, Darrington and nearby unincorporated communities can bring their experiences into that picture.

## What residents are being asked

The survey looks at community strengths as well as unmet needs: what is working, what has become less affordable, what makes it difficult to meet household needs, and where useful services are missing.

That gives residents room to describe practical problems in their own lives and the help they find valuable. The county says the responses will help guide future planning for services and programs.

## Language and access options

Alongside English, the survey is available in Chinese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese and Ukrainian. LISC offers free interpreter support and invites people who need another accommodation or a different way to participate to contact [Pugetsound@lisc.org](mailto:Pugetsound@lisc.org).

The survey is the first part of a longer listening process. Human Services and LISC plan to review the responses, identify themes and use focus groups and other conversations to explore them in greater depth. LISC says the completed findings will be shared with the community.
