*Updated Nov. 6, 2026, with the county’s 4:15 p.m. count. Results are unofficial.*

Proposition 3 continued to trail and Proposition 5 continued to lead in Snohomish County’s Friday afternoon update.

The county’s [unofficial report](https://snohomishcountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/152001/Unofficial-Election-Results---November-3-General-Election?ref=justabouts.com) lists 325,385 ballots cast and turnout of 59.31%. Counting remains underway.

## What the latest count shows

[Proposition 3](https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/149065/PROPOSITION-NO-3---FINAL-TITLE?ref=justabouts.com) would make all elected county offices nonpartisan and remove party labels from candidates’ ballot listings. [Proposition 5](https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/149067/PROPOSITION-NO-5---FINAL-TITLE?ref=justabouts.com) would require four of the five county councilmembers to approve certain new council-imposed taxes after Jan. 1, 2027.

- **Proposition 3:** 93,908 yes votes, or 30.32%, and 215,766 no votes, or 69.68%. The “no” side led by 121,858 votes.
- **Proposition 5:** 165,374 yes votes, or 53.30%, and 144,909 no votes, or 46.70%. The “yes” side led by 20,465 votes.

These are preliminary returns, and neither measure has a certified outcome. For the proposals’ details and arguments on both sides, read our [Snohomish County ballot explainer](https://justabouts.com/snohomish-county-propositions-3-5-2026/).

## When to check again

The county says its next results update is expected **Monday, Nov. 9, around 4 p.m.** The county canvassing board is scheduled to certify the election on Nov. 24, according to its [election-night notice](https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=3279&ref=justabouts.com).

Use the county’s [current election results page](https://snohomishcountywa.gov/5737/Get-Current-Election-Results-and-Statist?ref=justabouts.com) for later counts.
