# Stanwood-Camano schools: November days off and early dismissals

Stanwood-Camano families have four early dismissals and three school holidays to plan around this month. The district’s November schedule includes changes for teacher conferences, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.

- **Wednesday, Nov. 11:** Schools close for Veterans Day.
- **Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 18-20:** Students leave early for teacher conferences.
- **Wednesday, Nov. 25:** Schools dismiss early before Thanksgiving.
- **Thursday-Friday, Nov. 26-27:** Schools close for Thanksgiving break.

On all four early-release days, middle and high schools run from 7:40 to 10:40 a.m. Elementary schools run from 9 a.m. to noon. Both Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 use those morning start times, replacing the usual Wednesday late start.

The district says lunch will be unavailable on early-release days. Families may want to check rides, child care and meal plans before those shorter school days arrive.

## Skyward maintenance on Nov. 7

Families and staff who need their Skyward accounts should plan around a scheduled outage. The district says Skyward will be unavailable from **12:01 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7**, for planned maintenance. ## A community discussion on Nov. 12

Residents are also invited to the district’s Academic Advisory Committee meeting from **5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12**, in the **Lincoln Hill High School Commons, 7600 272nd Street NW in Stanwood**. The meeting is open to everyone; committee membership is not required.

The committee will discuss Foundational Early Learning, the first goal in the district’s Strategic Plan, using feedback from families, staff and the community. That work will help shape recommendations to the School Board in spring 2027\.
