WM’s Snohomish County team is inviting residents to see what happens after curbside recycling leaves the neighborhood.

A free in-person tour of the company’s regional recycling facility in Woodinville is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13, from noon to 1 p.m. WM says recycling educators will answer questions and explain the work behind the scenes.

The City of Kirkland’s matching event listing identifies the venue as the Cascade Recycling Center, 14020 NE 190th St., Woodinville. It recommends the tour for ages 10 and older.

Arrange a place before going

Registration is required. WM directs interested visitors to its recycling-facility tours page for registration information. For current booking instructions, contact the WM recycling coordinator at RecycleNW@wm.com before making the trip.

The event listing asks visitors who need disability accommodations or an interpreter to contact that address at least seven days before the tour.

For households curious about sorting, equipment or what happens to the material they put at the curb, the visit offers a chance to put those questions directly to recycling educators.
