Burgermaster says it plans to start serving in Marysville in early 2027, with a temporary kitchen opening while its permanent drive-in is built.
In a Nov. 4 announcement, the company said it held a groundbreaking Oct. 15 at 8925 35th Ave. NE. The Marysville restaurant will be its sixth location.
Owner and CEO Alex Jensen joined Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring, family members and local community leaders for the ceremony, according to the company.
City records show Marysville approved site clearing April 8 for a proposed 2,200-square-foot drive-in restaurant and related site improvements.
The company's announcement gives an early 2027 target for the temporary kitchen. It does not give an exact opening day or a completion date for the permanent drive-in.
The opening is planned during Burgermaster's 75th anniversary year. The company began in 1952.
