Granite Falls students are getting ready to take their dog-treat project into two local shops, giving neighbors another way to support their work.

The district’s Transition Program is preparing extra batches of its Oh My Dog treats for Pilchuck Espresso and Granite Falls Hardware, according to the Nov. 6 Family News. The newsletter says the shops will carry the treats soon; it does not give a start date.

Made by students, with a purpose

The program’s school webpage describes a bakery where students ages 18–22 bake and package the treats while learning skills they can take into the workplace.

Proceeds and donations support community activities, cooking lessons, vocational learning and life skills.

Where to find them

For now, the district says bags are available for $5 at the Granite Falls High School front desk, 1401 100th St. NE. Before heading to either new vendor, check whether its first delivery has arrived.

Questions about buying treats or becoming a vendor can go to abrower@gfalls.wednet.edu.
