Veterans, military families and neighbors are invited to join Granite Falls students for Veterans Day assemblies on Friday, Nov. 6.
Granite Falls School District shared the invitation Thursday, welcoming community members to gatherings honoring veterans and active-duty military personnel. The schedules below are confirmed in the district's flyers for Granite Falls Middle School and Mountain Way Elementary.
The morning schedules overlap. Keep that in mind if you are deciding which school to visit.
Granite Falls Middle School: 8:45–9:45 a.m.
The middle school's assembly runs from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at 405 N. Alder Ave., Granite Falls. Doors open at 8:40 a.m.
The school's flyer welcomes veterans, families and community members. A guest speaker is planned, and veterans are invited to stay afterward for pastries and coffee with the school's leadership students.

Mountain Way Elementary: 9:30 a.m.
Mountain Way Elementary's assembly begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday at 702 N. Granite Ave., Granite Falls, according to its assembly flyer. An end time is not listed.

Allow time to check in
The district asks guests to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before an assembly and check in at the front desk for a guest badge. At the middle school, keep the separately listed 8:40 a.m. door-opening time in mind.
These gatherings take place ahead of Veterans Day itself. The district calendar lists no school on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
