From Halloween candy stops to December's lighted-truck cruise, Stanwood has five community celebrations on the calendar this fall and winter. Here are the dates, locations and details organizers have announced for 2026.

Oct. 31: Ghouls Night Out

3–6 p.m., 271st Street NW near the police station. The free Halloween event will have 40-plus trick-or-treat stops hosted by businesses and organizations, according to the City of Stanwood. Costumes are encouraged. See our Ghouls Night Out preview for more.

The Stanwood-Camano School District is also reminding drivers to watch for trick-or-treaters and slow down. Its advice for families: stay together, use crosswalks, and check that costumes let children see clearly and remain visible.

Nov. 28: Ornament Tree Lighting

3–6 p.m., the Brick Road on 270th Street NW in West Stanwood. The Stanwood Commerce Alliance's event page lists a Bubbleman performance at 3:30 p.m. and the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m.

The afternoon will include live music, vendors, food trucks and Kid Zone activities. Local children and families will supply the ornaments decorating the community tree.

Dec. 5: Light Up Your Holidays

4–7 p.m., 8727 271st Street NW. Admission is free. Bring the family downtown for live reindeer, holiday performances and the community tree lighting.

The city’s event listing gives these times:

Food and drinks will be available to buy. Depot Park is under construction, but the city says the celebration and tree-lighting countdown will go ahead.

Dec. 12: Big Rig Truck Lighted Cruise

5–6 p.m., downtown Stanwood. The Alliance's 2026 event page confirms the free community cruise.

The route runs from the east end of 271st Street NW to the west end and back, following the annual car-show route. Drivers are asked to make at least two laps. The organizer's route flyer shows the corridor and turnarounds at both ends, so spectators can choose a viewing spot along the route. Vehicle participants can find the official free registration links on the event page.

Dec. 19: Krampus Night Market and Parade

The market opens at 3 p.m. in Old Town along the Brick Road, with 10003 270th St. NW listed as the event address. The organizer's Eventbrite listing says the market and parade are free and open to the public.

The organizer's program includes vendors, music and children's activities. All ages are welcome, though the organizer cautions that Krampus may frighten younger children.

Check the parade schedule before you go. The organizer's website and Eventbrite currently give different closing times, and Eventbrite lists two parade start times. The 3 p.m. market opening is consistent across those listings; the parade start and closing time still need confirmation.

Light Up Your Holidays details updated Nov. 5, 2026. Other event details checked Oct. 25, 2026. Check the linked organizers for updates before heading out.
