The Lake Stevens School Board has selected Ashley Bryan for its Director District 3 seat, with her swearing-in planned for the board’s first meeting in January 2027.

Bryan will succeed Mari Taylor, who is stepping down at the end of December after more than 27 years on the board, according to the district’s Nov. 6 announcement.

The board made its selection Nov. 4 following applications and public interviews. Bryan will serve through 2027 and may seek a four-year term in the November 2027 general election, the district said.

In her application, Bryan described a desire to give back to the community and said she values thoughtful decisions that consider families with different needs and experiences.
