Archive note, Nov. 1, 2026: The Oct. 31 collection date has passed. For current options, check PaintCare’s Washington drop-off program and confirm the site’s hours and accepted products before you go. The original event information follows.

Leftover house paint can be dropped off for free Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McCollum Park.

The collection takes place at 600 128th St. SE in Everett. Snohomish County Public Works is working with WSU Snohomish County Extension's Sustainable Community Stewards and GreenSheen Paint on the event.

Reserve a drop-off time

Organizers ask participants to register online for a time slot to help keep traffic moving. Staff will unload vehicles at the drive-through collection.

There is no overall quantity limit. Bring paint in its original containers, sized 5 gallons or smaller, with readable labels.

Check what you can bring

Accepted materials include interior and exterior latex, oil-based and enamel house paints; primers; deck stains; and single-part wood finishes.

Spray cans, paint thinners and solvents, automotive and marine paints, roofing products, craft paints and two-part resins are among the items excluded from this collection.

Check the complete accepted-materials list before loading your vehicle. Questions about the event can be sent to events@greensheenpaint.com.
