High school students curious about learning a trade, working in health care or exploring a technical career can visit Sno-Isle TECH on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., before applications open for the 2027–28 school year.
The open house is a drop-in event at 9001 Airport Road in Everett. Students and their families can visit programs, meet instructors and ask questions. You can arrive at any point during the three-hour window.
Applications open Monday, Nov. 9, at noon. The school’s announcement invites current sophomores and juniors to apply for next year. Programs will remain open until their application and waiting lists fill, so it is worth preparing before the opening date.
What students can study
Sno-Isle TECH is a public skills center serving students during their junior and senior years of high school. Its program list includes construction trades, welding, automotive technology, nursing assistant, culinary arts, fire service, video game production and other fields.
Students attend a half-day session while continuing classes at their own high school. Before applying, talk with your school counselor about eligibility, graduation requirements, the daily schedule and transportation from your district.
How to get ready to apply
- Compare programs. Read the syllabus on each program’s page. Think about the work you enjoy and questions you want to ask the instructor at the open house.
- Use the current application link. Start from Sno-Isle TECH’s homepage and choose the link for the 2027–28 school year.
- Create the account in the student’s name. The school asks for an email address you check often and can use throughout the year, including summer. Confirm the address when the verification email arrives.
- Choose a program and complete the application. You can also list other program choices. The application instructions say to read the program syllabus before answering the paragraph question.
- Watch your email afterward. Sno-Isle’s process includes a required interview and program shadow day. Contact your counselor if you need help with the steps.
Costs and questions to ask
The school’s FAQ says there is no tuition to attend, although some programs have lab fees. The main office can explain assistance with those fees. Second-year cosmetology through Everett Community College has additional fees and tuition beyond Sno-Isle’s coverage.
At the open house, ask about your program’s supplies, fees, prerequisites, credits and any optional certification costs. Your counselor can help check how the program fits your high school plan and which district transportation is available.
