Snohomish County PUD is proposing no overall increase in electric rates for 2027, and customers can ask questions about the plan at a commissioners' meeting Nov. 17.
The utility announced the proposal Oct. 26 as part of its annual budget process. It concerns electric service for homes and businesses across Snohomish County and Camano Island.
In its announcement, the PUD credits cost controls, efficiency efforts and decisions about which investments to prioritize. The utility says its proposed budget would continue spending on grid reliability and modernization.
Customers can weigh in Nov. 17
The PUD is inviting customers to learn about the proposed budget and rates, ask questions and share their views with commissioners on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. at PUD headquarters, 2320 California St. in Everett, according to the utility's rates page.
The 0% overall increase remains a proposal. Customers can find current charges and updates on the rates page, and participation information on the commission meetings page.
The PUD also directs customers who need help paying their bills to its financial assistance information.
