Lake Stevens residents will have two opportunities in November to weigh in on the city’s proposed 2027 budget, including its revenue plans and property taxes.

The City Council has scheduled public hearings for Tuesday, Nov. 10, and Tuesday, Nov. 17. Both begin at 6 p.m. in the Sawyers Room at The Mill, 1808 Main St., with remote participation through Zoom.

The hearings cover different parts of the proposal. On Nov. 10, the council will take testimony on proposed 2027 revenue sources and increases for the General Fund, including property taxes. On Nov. 17, testimony will cover the proposed budget as a whole.

How to take part

Residents can speak at either hearing or send written comments to the city clerk beforehand. Comments can be emailed to deputyclerk@lakestevenswa.gov or mailed to City Hall, Attn: City Clerk, P.O. Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258.

Zoom connection information will appear on the meeting agenda. Check the city’s City Council page for the agenda before attending online. For proposed tax and spending figures, consult the 2027 hearing materials linked from the council agendas.
