Lake Stevens’ girls soccer team is headed to the Class 4A state tournament.
The Vikings lost 4–0 to Issaquah in a district semifinal Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Lake Stevens High School. Their spot at state was already secured: the District 1/2 bracket sends all four semifinalists through, including both teams that lost Wednesday.
Lake Stevens reached that round with a 2–1 home victory over Woodinville on Saturday, Oct. 31. The Vikings entered the district tournament as the No. 2 seed.
The bracket lists Lake Stevens in third place following the semifinal. Issaquah advances to face Skyline for the district championship Nov. 7, while the Vikings move on to the state field.
Mount Si also advances to state after a 2–1 loss to Skyline in the other semifinal. A separate Nov. 7 game between Kamiak and Lake Washington will decide another state berth.
Where to follow the next match
Families and supporters can follow the WIAA’s Girls Soccer Tournament Central for the state bracket, game information and ticket links. Check the Vikings’ assigned opponent, date and venue there before making travel plans.
There is a venue change to keep in mind for teams that reach championship weekend. The WIAA has moved the 3A and 4A final rounds from Sparks Stadium in Puyallup to Mount Si High School Stadium in Snoqualmie.
That weekend runs Nov. 20–21. Semifinals are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20, followed by consolation games and championship matches Saturday, Nov. 21. Mount Si High School Stadium is at 8651 Meadowbrook Way SE.
