Lake Stevens’ varsity volleyball team beat Kamiak 3-1 on the road Tuesday, Nov. 3, in a match that carried Wesco championship stakes.
The result appears on Lake Stevens’ official Wesco schedule, which lists the match at Kamiak High School. Before the game, Kamiak’s Oct. 30 school update described the varsity team as competing for the Wesco title in the 7 p.m. matchup.
District opener set for Saturday
The District 1/2 4A tournament runs Saturday, Nov. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 14. Its bracket combines Wesco and SeaKing teams, with five places at the state tournament available.
Lake Stevens will open district play at home at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, against the winner of Woodinville–North Creek. The Woodinville–North Creek match begins at 5 p.m. at the same school.
The official district bracket identifies the Vikings’ opener as Game 6. The school-linked schedule lists Lake Stevens High School’s Main Gym, at 2908 113th Ave. NE.
The winner advances to Game 15 on Nov. 12; the loser moves to Game 9 on Nov. 10. Families can check the bracket for later-round sites and schedule changes before heading out.
The WIAA’s 3A and 4A state championships are scheduled for Nov. 20–21 at the Yakima Valley SunDome. Teams must advance through their qualifying tournament to reach that field.
