Meyer Art Center says it has raised $7.4 million toward its planned $13 million home in west Stanwood, bringing the building campaign to about 57% of its goal.
The new total comes as the project moves through permit review. In a Nov. 4 update, the center said design and engineering are complete and its drawings are with permit reviewers. Its project timeline places groundbreaking and construction ahead.
The future center is planned for 10008 270th St. NW in Stanwood.
Support for the building and today's programs
The center's separate year-end campaign, Before the Doors Open, runs Nov. 1 through Dec. 31. It seeks $100,000 for the building and programs already serving the community.
The Nov. 4 update says board members have pledged $30,000 in matching funds. Community donations are matched while those funds last.
The center says its Afternoon of the Arts program, supported by The Olson Foundation, is expanding to every school in the Stanwood-Camano School District by spring 2027. It also reaches homeschool families at Saratoga and the transition program for students ages 18–22.
A free evening with student artists Dec. 16
