Marysville’s Opera House and downtown Arlington have several November outings worth planning a bus ride around, from a Veterans Day gathering to the first evening of holiday lights.
Community Transit’s November car-free guide points riders toward Routes 201 and 220 for these stops. Check the trip for your exact date and starting point, including the ride home. Thanksgiving service and a downtown street closure deserve particular attention.

Planning another stop that day? Marysville city offices will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day.
The bus connection: Route 201 serves downtown Marysville along State Avenue, with stops at First and Fifth streets in the northbound timetable. Use your venue’s street address in the trip planner to check the appropriate stop and walking route in each direction.
Arlington: a parade and the start of the holidays
Wednesday, Nov. 11: Veterans Day Parade. American Legion Post 76’s parade begins at 11 a.m. on Olympic Avenue. The city lists it as a free event. Community Transit runs regular service on Veterans Day. City event details.
Saturday, Nov. 28: Hometown Holiday Kickoff. Downtown activities run from 4 to 7 p.m., with the tree lighting at 5 p.m. in Legion Park. Admission is free. Our Arlington holiday guide has the wider holiday schedule.
The bus connection: Route 220 connects Smokey Point Transit Center with downtown Arlington. Olympic Avenue will be closed to traffic during the Nov. 28 kickoff, so check rider alerts for any changed stops or detours before leaving.
Going to the Turkey Trot? Plan for holiday service
Arlington’s Thanksgiving Turkey Trot starts at 8 a.m. Nov. 26 at Grocery Outlet. Read our race guide for participation details. Community Transit uses a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving, so check an arrival-time trip for that Thursday rather than relying on the usual weekday service.
Before you leave
Enter the event date, venue address and desired arrival time in Plan My Trip. Check your return journey as well, including any transfers, walking distance and the last departure you can use.
