Pilchuck Glass School has opened regular enrollment for its 2027 workshops. Artists can now apply for a session at its campus near Stanwood.

The enrollment period began November 2. Applications are free to submit, while workshop tuition and other costs are separate. The school's application information page explains the process and fees.

The 2027 program has eight sessions running from April 29 through September 14. Workshops cover glassblowing, kiln-forming, flameworking, mosaic and other techniques, with options ranging from beginner to advanced study. Applicants can compare experience requirements and dates before choosing a workshop.

According to Pilchuck's enrollment announcement, regular applications are considered on a rolling, first-come basis until a workshop fills or two weeks before it begins. Availability can change, so the start of regular enrollment does not guarantee a place in a particular class.

The scholarship application period has closed. Pilchuck says need-based financial aid may still be available depending on remaining funds. Its financial aid page explains how requests are considered.

These are residential sessions. Pilchuck describes participants as eating, working and staying on campus throughout their session. Program fees cover instruction, shared dormitory housing, meals and basic supplies; optional housing upgrades carry additional charges.

Before applying, review the chosen workshop's skill level, full costs and current availability. Enrollment questions can go to lyoung@pilchuck.org.
