Families in Stanwood and on Camano Island can sign up for free winter coats and holiday gifts for children through the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank.
The Seasonal Support program runs Nov. 2 through Dec. 23, according to the school district's announcement. It serves children and teens ages 0 to 18 in the Stanwood and Camano Island ZIP codes, 98292 and 98282.
How to sign up for coats and gifts
Start with the food bank's Seasonal Support registration form. Staff will email families about the next steps and scheduling an appointment to choose coats and gifts.
The food bank asks families to provide proof of guardianship for each child and proof of local residency before or at their appointment. Its eligibility guidance lists age, guardianship and residency requirements, with no income requirement listed.
Appointments take place at the food bank, 27030 102nd Ave. NW in Stanwood. Families with questions can call 360-629-2789 or email scfoodbank@scfbs.org.
Weekly groceries are available, too
The food bank's year-round Meals 'til Monday program offers free groceries for local families with children ages 0 to 18. After registering and verifying guardianship and residency, families receive weekly ordering links by text and email.
Available groceries change each week. Curbside pickup is Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A friend or family member can collect an already-ordered parcel when a parent or guardian cannot make it.
